Explore

If you are Undecided on your major choice and would like to correspond with an Explore advisor, you have two options.

For students that are not ready to officially change their major to Undecided but would still like to learn more about UGA's major exploration resources, the Exploratory Center offers Explore Consultations with Explore Advisors.

During a consultation appointment, one of our Explore Advisors will meet with you to discuss majors that align with your interests and skills. If you would like to schedule a consultation appointment, please complete this referral form to receive more information.

For students that are ready to officially change their major to Undecided to meet with an Explore Advisor for a full academic advising appointment, you can do so on Athena using the instructions at the bottom of the page. Please also fill out the referral form or email exploration@uga.edu.

Intended Business & Intended Grady

If you are interested in pursuing an Intended Business or Intended Grady major, but have questions before making an official major change - you can use the following points of contact:

If you are decided on changing your major, please make the official major change on Athena and fill out the referral form here: https://advising.uga.edu/referral-form/.

Major Change Instructions

If you would like to change your major, please use the instructions below:

Log into Athena
Select Student
Select Student & Registration
Select My Programs
To add a major:

Select Add Major
Select your new major from the dropdown menu
Select Next, then Confirm
The new major will now appear under My Majors

To remove a major:

Select Remove Major
Select the major you wish to remove from the dropdown menu
Select Next, then Confirm
The major will no longer appear under My Majors

Please note that you will need to select the Intended version of the Terry or Grady major you are adding, because these colleges require an application and acceptance into each major. If you are changing to Undecided, you will need to select Undecided and choose either AB (Bachelor of Arts) or BS (Bachelor of Science).
