Katy Dwyer

Intended Advisor

Katy is a Georgia native who comes from a big Bulldog family, though she completed her undergraduate studies at Furman University in Greenville, SC. She graduated in 2013 with a BA in English, and has worked in professional marketing in multiple industries across the region. She first came to UGA as a graduate student in the Department of Linguistics, where she studied the ways that different dialects are used in pop culture. She loves being an Athens resident, particularly eating at Cali N’Tito’s and exploring downtown. In her free time she enjoys reading classic mysteries, gardening, baking, and going on walks with her spouse and dog.
